What a way to start 2023. I found ourselves patiently waiting for sunset beside the incredibly beautiful and remote ‘Pool of Memories’ in the central tableland of Tasmania. I spent hours searching and refining my photographical compositions as I waited and hoped that the sunlight would break through a band of cloud that sat on the horizon. I got some gorgeous golden dappled light an hour before sunset but it was this last moment of direct sunlight that broke through the thick clouds right on sunset that stole the show.
