Lincoln’s Rock (previously known as “Flat Rock” and “Kings Tableland Observatory” Is an incredible lookout that overlooks the Jamison Valley and Kings Tableland. It’s a location that makes you feel incredible small as you overlooking the vast rugged landscape of the Blue Mountains. Photographing it at sunset is the ideal time to visit because the sun drops below the mountains on the opposite side of the valley. If you ever get the opportunity to visit make sure you also check out the small cave that is located underneath, which can be accessed from the left side of the rock with the narrow walking track. The warm glow of the sun sneaks through for only a few moments and ignites part the Jamison Valley below.
